Behind the Lens

Linda Claussen, Owner & Photographer

I have a college degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. In life, sometimes you get chances that lead you in another direction. When my children were young, I’d take photos of them and enter them in the Bennett County Fair. I soon got purple ribbons and the People’s Choice Award. It was so exciting. People then began to ask me to take photos and I was lucky to get help from some of the best photographers in the Rapid City area and the United States as I went across the country selling backgrounds to photographers. It has been a crazy and fun experience and I want to bring what I have learned to you so you get the overall best experience. Last year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and am so fortunate not to have had to go through treatment that others unfortunately have to. With the best surgeon and doctors I have a great prognosis. Your thoughts and prayers were also much appreciated. The best medicine has been all the hugs from the kids I photograph. I truly love them and couldn’t have gotten through this without them. Thanks for raising such wonderful children. As a start a new year of photography, I know I want to give you the highest quality of portraits but at the same time an experience that you will always remember. I have a great team around me to provide this to you. So, whether it’s for your senior portraits, wedding, families, or even just a business session we promise to give an overall great experience and become our lifetime friends.

Let’s meet for a cup of coffee and talk about your wedding!

Studio

This year is one for change.  I decided to let my downtown studio go and do my home studio again.    I want to be able to give my clients the beauty of the black  hills.  If we’re hungry we’ll have lunch at one of our unique eating establishments in the hills.   A cup of coffee might be needed to warm us up.  I want my clients to remember who photographed their portraits.  Memories is what it is all about and I’m here to give you ones that will last a lifetime.  In doing so be prepared to have fun, laugh a lot and get great portraits.
